Dr Christopher Orr is one of the UK’s most prominent cosmetic and aesthetic restorative dentists, who practices in his multidisciplinary clinic in central London. He is an Accredited Member and Past President of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and also a Certified Member of the European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry. He was voted at the most influential private practitioner in the UK by the readers of Private Dentistry magazine in 2013.
He is also a Past President of the Odontological Section of the Royal Society of Medicine, a former Director of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and former Course Director for the MSc in Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry at the University of Manchester. Through Advanced Dental Seminars, he is the sole lecturer for a one-year course on cosmetic dentistry and aesthetic restorative dentistry for general dentists - the UK’s most popular course programme on the subject with over 1300 dentists completing the programme over the last 13 years.
Dr Orr lectures extensively around the UK and abroad and his work has been widely featured in the UK and international press, across radio, television, print and online media.
Dr Zeynep Ayhan is a graduate of the University of Ankara, Turkey. After working in hospital and private practice for several years, she moved to the UK in 2000.
She is the co-founder of Advanced Dental Seminars. In her role as the Managing Director of the company, she is responsible for the day to day running of the facility and it’s relationship with delegates and the dental industry.
She also acts as a tutor on many of the hands-on sessions for the course in Cosmetic Dentistry and Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry.
A big design enthusiast, she is the designer of the Z bur, the most practical depth cutting bur in dentistry for veneer preparations using the APR-APT technique (Gurel technique) and also trains dentists in lecturing and presentation skills.
Dr Joe Bansal qualified in 2003 from the Royal London Dental School and has been an avid follower of post graduate dental education programmes in the UK and abroad. This has helped his work progress rapidly and has been a sought after clinician for many years by patients. He is an active member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and is currently working towards the Accreditation process.
Dr Bansal has been an integral part of the multidisciplinary team at Advanced Dental Group for over 6 years. He is one of the aesthetic restorative dentists at Advanced Dental Practice as well as one of the recent faculty members of Advanced Dental Seminars.
Dr Bansal is an enthusiastic educator during the theory and hands on sessions focusing on simplifying the information in order to give the most practical education possible for the delegates.
Dr. Newton Fahl Jr. received his DDS degree from Londrina State University, Brazil, in 1987. In 1989 he received the Certificate in Operative Dentistry and Master of Science degree from the University of Iowa, USA. After returning to Brazil, he settled in Curitiba, where he maintains a private practice emphasizing esthetic and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Fahl is the scientific director of the FAHL CENTER, where he conducts courses on Esthetic Dentistry. Dr. Newton Fahl, Jr. is a member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (AAED), and founding member and past-president of the Brazilian Society of Aesthetic Dentistry (BSAD). He is a MCG-Hinman Foundation fellow.
He was the recipient of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry 2008 President´s Award for Best Teacher and the recipient of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry 2011 Excellence in Cosmetic Dental Education Award. He is President of SCAD (Society for Color and Appearance in Dentistry). Dr. Fahl has published several enlightening articles on direct and indirect bonding techniques. He is on the editorial board of several peer-reviewed, and is an active consultant for several manufacturers in the development and refinement of new materials and techniques.
Mr Iannone, (Enzo), has been working in dental field for the last 30 years.
He graduated as a dental technician in Italy and worked in various dental laboratories in south and north Italy, giving him extensive experience of dental laboratory work. He was also a chair-side dental assistant at the US Military Naval Dental Clinic in Naples where he gained clinical understanding of the patients’ needs.
He moved to UK in the late 1990s and ran the dental lab for Dentics, London’s pioneer cosmetic dental practice where he specialised in smile design and developed his expertise. In 2003 he established his own lab, New Smile Lab.
He has also studied psychology and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis. By combining both areas of expertise, he has gained valuable insights into the complex interaction between the dentist and patient, especially managing difficult patients in cosmetic restorative dentistry. He offers support, consultation and in-house training for his clients.
He has been an integral part of the ADS teaching faculty since we started in 2003, covering the laboratory aspect of colour matching and shade selection on our year long restorative programme. For the last few years he also started lecturing on management of difficult patients in cosmetic restorative dentistry.
