Cosmetic Dentistry & Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry- 1 Year Certificate Course (Course)

Description This course runs for twelve monthly sessions, beginning each year in October. All course groups for 2010-2011 are now full - this includes the additional group opened on 5th July 2010 due to demand. If you are interested in attending the 2011-12 programme, please contact us. Advanced Occlusion & Treatment Planning (Course)
Location Advanced Dental Seminars, London, SE1 3TN
Description This will be an advanced occlusion course, run over 8 days in four 2-day blocks. We will consider complex cases from an occlusal standpoint. We will discuss the occlusal system in health and disease, consider disorders of the TMJ in detail and how these impact of restorative dentistry. Appliance therapy will also be considered in detail. There will be some lectures, hands-on taking of occlusal records, centric relation bite records, verification of mounting, equilibration and appliance insertion & adjustment.

Mastering Anterior Composite (Course)

Description This course is aimed at dentists who want to take their direct anterior work to the “next level”. It will be run as a four-day, intensive laboratory-based multisystem course to allow you to develop a deep understanding of different available products with practical experience of their strengths and weaknesses in order to truly master the material and techniques.

Description If you have never used a camera before (or lack confidence when you use one), this is the course for you. We will cover the basics of what to buy, how to set it up and how to take five simple photos that will revolutionise the new patient consultation in your practice.

Clinical Photography 2: improvers (Seminar)

Description For the more experienced user, this course will focus on improving consistency for better documentation. We will cover an expanded range of sets of photographic views for cosmetic dentistry, complex restorative cases, orthodontics, etc., as well as the requirements for BACD Accreditation and how to take photos of the required standard.

Clinical Photography 3: digital Imaging (Seminar)
Location Advanced Dental Seminars, London, SE1 3TN
Description This course will cover the alteration of a photograph to show a potential patient a simulated treatment outcome, using software that is available for around £50. The emphasis will be on doing a drawing that will show the patient what is proposed without risking it looking better than the finished result and how to use the photograph in a treatment presentation.

Clinical Photography 4: portraits & advanced digital techniques (Seminar)
Location Advanced Dental Seminars, London, SE1 3TN
Description This course will allow the very experienced camera user to begin to take portrait photographs of post-treatment patients that can be used in practice marketing. We will cover a simple portrait lighting setup that can be easily placed in the dental practice, image processing and RAW workflow for outstanding results. We will learn how to pose a subject for portrait photography, first using an experienced model then later using each other to simulate photographing a person who is not used to posing and will need more direction.
